WatchSpecLab is an independent site about how watches perform, written by the WatchSpecLab Team.
Who we are
We’re a small team of watch enthusiasts with a soft spot for measurable specs. We read the spec sheets, check the standards and dig into published test data, then explain what it all means.
What we cover
Accuracy and regulation, water resistance ratings, power reserve, movements, materials and the tests behind each claim. When a number appears on a dial or a spec sheet, we explain what it means in practice.
How we work
- We base articles on manufacturer specifications, published standards such as ISO 6425 (dive watches) and ISO 3159 (chronometers), and reputable reference sources.
- We explain technical terms in plain English.
- We review and update articles when specifications or standards change.
